Community Impact

For 85 years, the Junior League of Waco (JLW) has improved the Waco community by identifying needs and relentlessly providing the woman power and funds to successfully address those needs.

Through a grant from the Waco Foundation, the JLW conducted extensive research and had innumerable conversations with community stakeholders
Through this process, the JLW identified a critical need in our community that needs to be addressed: the importance of early childhood education, and, in particular The Power of Pre-K.

The Junior League of Waco’s community focus for 2020 and beyond is the Power of Pre-K.

Focusing on the power of pre-k allows the Junior League to further its vision that all women and children in McLennan County are equipped to thrive and fulfill their full potential.
