2026-2027 JLW Community Grant & Service Project Application

The Junior League of Waco (JLW) is dedicated to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. As part of our commitment to making a positive impact in the Waco area, we are excited to offer community grants and service projects to support nonprofit organizations addressing critical community needs. We welcome your application and look forward to partnering with you to make a meaningful impact in our community!

Please note that funding awarded through this program may represent only a portion of the total grant amount requested. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding. The selection committee reserves the right to determine the amount of funding awarded, if any, based on available resources and the merit of each proposal.

In some cases, applicants may not receive direct financial support, but may instead be offered volunteer assistance from community members to help advance their project goals. All awards and volunteer support opportunities are granted at the discretion of the review committee and are subject to program availability.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in good standing.
  • The organization must serve communities in Waco, TX or surrounding areas.
  • The proposed project must align with JLW’s focus areas: early childhood education, women’s empowerment, and/or community development.
  • The project should have a measurable impact and demonstrate sustainability.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Alignment with JLW focus areas.
  • Clearly defined goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Feasibility and sustainability of the project.
  • Potential for significant community impact.
  • Effective utilization of JLW volunteers and/or funds.

Key Dates

  • Application Opens: November 1, 2025
  • Application Deadline: December 31, 2025
  • Grant Award and Volunteer Project Announcement: Spring 2026

Completed application form.

Contact information for your organization’s primary grant/project lead.

Project description, goals, and expected impact.

Volunteer support request: outline roles, estimated hours, and expected outcomes.

Proof of 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.

Budget for the proposed project (include specific use of requested funds).
