The Clifton House

The Junior League of Waco purchased the historic Clifton House at 2600 Austin Avenue with a grant from the Cooper Foundation and, in 1995, completed its renovation. Recent updating and repairs were completed thanks to a grant from the Waco Foundation in May of 2006. The house serves as the permanent headquarters of the Junior League of Waco and is available for community use. Nonprofit organizations may rent the facility at special rates. Individuals may rent the house for wedding receptions, birthday parties, and other special occasions. A full caterer's kitchen is available.

Caretaker Needed

The Junior League of Waco is seeking a caretaker for its beautiful and historic headquarters, the Clifton House. As the caretaker, this person will maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the home, supervise event rentals, and work in tandem with the Clifton House committee to oversee the grounds and general maintenance of the house. As payment, the caretaker is provided onsite housing and paid utilities in the Carriage House’s charming one-bedroom apartment. The position requires the caretaker to live onsite and regularly work weekends, but it can easily be managed in conjunction with other part-time or full-time work. Small pets are allowed!
